Looking for fun things to do in Vegas? You’ve come to the right place!
It’s a common misconception that Las Vegas is just for partying and gambling. There are many things to do for everyone regardless of age, religion, or interests. The truth is Vegas has something for everyone. And if you want a perfect day without spending your entire bank account, this guide is for you!
#1) Start Your Morning Off with Breakfast at Peppermill
If you’re going to Vegas, The Peppermill is the perfect place to begin your day’s journey.
- Get Seated in the Restaurant. Call ahead! Although you can’t make a reservation, you can ask about current wait times. The Peppermill has been known to have up to an hour’s wait!!! So plan smart!!
- Order the Peppermill Omelet!
- All their breakfast omelets have ten eggs, a full-size bagel, and a vast portion of hash browns priced around $22. It’s a good deal: plenty of food to share with a friend or two (or three).
- A person is walking around selling pictures, but you get a free one just for posing! The Freebie makes a perfect fridge souvenir. If you cave and buy the photos, remember you will now have to carry them around!

#2) After Breakfast, Walk to the Strat!
You are probably stuffed full of delicious breakfast! So let’s burn off some calories walking to the Strat!
With its incredible views of the Strip and beyond, it’s no wonder that this is one of the most popular attractions in Las Vegas.
You don’t have to spend a single penny to walk there if you are clever! You can get to the top for FREE!
All you have to do is ask the concierge at the elevators to the top to go to the 107 Bar! They will say there’s a two-drink minimum to go up to the top, but the truth is, no one up there is enforcing this policy. Once you get to the top, you can mozy around the bar and enjoy the views of the city. There are stairs leading up to another floor. Up there, you are officially on the roof! You can enjoy the fresh air and watch people scream their heads off as they ride the super scary rides that hang off the side of the Strat! I consider these fun things to do in Vegas, and I’m a local! When you have had your fill of being at the top of Las Vegas, head back down and out to the Downtown Loop bus stop.
