Travel Tips

  • Book Early –  There’s no doubt about it—you want to book early! You’ll find that most hotels and casinos are sold out by December, so if you want a room at The Bellagio or MGM Grand, get on it ASAP!
  • Arrive Early – You don’t want to be stuck in traffic on New Year’s Eve—especially if you’re coming from out of town! If that’s the case, we recommend arriving at least two hours before the party starts so that you can get settled into your room and take a nap before heading out for dinner or drinks (or both!).
  • Dress Appropriately – It’s not just about looking good—it’s about staying safe! Make sure you’ve got comfortable shoes and clothes that won’t get ruined by spilled drinks or other party mishaps. We also recommend bringing some warm clothes. Even though temperatures are usually in the 80s during December in Las Vegas, it still gets cold at night, and you don’t want to be freezing while standing in for hours!
  • Drink Responsibly –  This is serious business! Don’t drink too much! It is easy to get carried away when everyone else is having a good time, but don’t let yourself go overboard on New Year’s Eve. You’ll thank us later when you’re not hungover and can still enjoy the rest of your trip.
  • Forget the Glass – Glassware tends to break easily when people drink heavily. If you plan on having more than one drink in the evening, stick with plastic cups or bottles; they would hold up better than glassware under similar circumstances.

NOTE: Between 6 pm on December 31 and 6 am on January 1, glass bottles are prohibited along The Strip (south of Sahara and north of Sunset Avenue.

  • Carry Your Hotel Key With You  – As you head out to see the New Year’s Eve fireworks, you’ll want to have your hotel key card. If you’re going to be staying at a hotel on the Strip, you must always carry your key card with you. If you lose it or someone steals it from you, that person could gain access to your room and cause damage or theft.

SO DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!
